Club Car LMS Interactive Training
Fall of 2021
The Problem: Club Car was facing a high call volume related to their LMS. The user guide they had was a simple PDF that many users weren’t reading. I was tasked with creating an interactive series of videos in order to help users use the LMS without the need of help from the office staff.
The Audience: Club Car Staff such as technicians, office workers, managers, ect. The level of education and English proficiency varied vastly within the audience, so the final product created was meant to be as simple as possible while still providing detailed information on how to use the LMS.
To start, I was given all of the basic information for the videos by my team manager. I built this information into a google sheet document that was editable by the whole team. Then I formatted it into a basic storyboard on InDesign so that my manager and I could decide what needed to stay and what needed to be changed.

After the story boarding was completed and approved, I began building a wireframe and a prototype for the videos. Each slide was made to be simple and easy to use. Once these were approved I moved into building the product.

The final product was created using Articulate Storyline and PowerPoint. I built out each slide from my initial prototype and then created the interactions around it. When each video was finished with the basic layout it was sent to my manager for approval. Once the layouts and interactions were approved and tested for functionality, we added in the voiceover. I captioned these in order to make the videos more accessible.
Finally, we conducted a small usability test and tweaked any small issues we found with the design. This included things such as changing shapes and formats and fixing broken interactivity. After all the bugs were removed the product was launched.

This project was a great display of teamwork between my manager and myself and helped me develop a lot of skills with Articulate360 and working collaboratively. This project faced many challenges throughout the semester that I had to overcome, such as losing my initial teammate. Overall, my manager was very pleased with the final outcome.
