ABOUT ME
I am a former Technical Communication student at Mercer University. In 2019 when I first began attending Mercer University, I knew I wanted to further my knowledge of both STEM and writing and found that Technical Communication was a good fit for me. I have always had an interest in writing and have been working on personal writing projects for most of my life. Technical Communication has allowed me to use both my creative and technical skills together to better strengthen my general skill set.
Choosing Graphic Design and Art as my minors has allowed me to build my skill set in the principles of design and other facets of art. I am hoping to use these skills for any technical design work I may use in my career such as Web Design or Information Design.
Hobbies and Activities
Fencing
I've been a member of the Mercer Fencing Team for three years. I am a member of Fencing Leadership as a club Armorer. I have participated in a few competitions while on the Mercer Team.
Creative Writing
I actively do creative writing as a non-academic hobby. I had a poem published in a youth anthology in 2019. I have been working on longer writing projects throughout 2020-2022. I recently finished the third draft of my first novel, and I am hoping to have it published in the future!

Reading
I have been an active reader for several years to help further my reading comprehension as well as my own writing. I read a wide variety of genres from YA to historical fiction to adult fantasy.
Painting
I have been doing painting as a hobby since 2012. I completed an intro level painting course in 2020 to further my acrylic painting skills. I also painted a mural for our house in 2020 to get used to working with a much larger surface, as well as to help me plan out colors and placement for paintings in the future.
